Blue Jays explode for six runs in first inning, rout Phillies
Toronto's bats came alive early, chasing Phillies starter Zach Eflin from the game after just 1/3 of an inning.
The Blue Jays scored six runs on seven hits in the first inning, including a three-run home run by Teoscar Hernandez.
The Phillies bullpen was unable to stop the bleeding, as the Blue Jays added two more runs in the second inning and three more in the third.
The Phillies finally got on the board in the fourth inning on a solo home run by Bryce Harper, but it was too little, too late.
The Blue Jays went on to win the game 11-2, improving their record to 22-15 on the season.
